How much does waste removal cost in London?
Most waste removal in London is priced by volume — how much space your waste takes up in the truck — rather than by the item or the hour. Here is how that works in practice, and what you should expect to pay.
Pricing by load size
Our truck is a 12 cubic yard tipper. Instead of charging per item, we split the truck into fractions and charge for the portion your waste fills.
- Small load — £160 (a few bags or a small pile)
- Quarter load — £260
- Half load — £300
- Three-quarter load — £360
- Full load — £420 (maximum 1.5 tonnes)
Why weight matters as well as volume
Light, bulky waste such as furniture and packaging fills the space long before it gets heavy. Rubble, soil and turf do the opposite: sixty rubble bags will reach the 1.5 tonne limit while barely filling the truck.
That is why we ask what the waste is, not just how much there is. Being accurate up front means the price we quote is the price you pay.
Waste removal versus a skip
A skip needs somewhere to sit, often a council permit if it is on the road, and someone to load it. On many London streets that is either slow or impossible.
A man-and-van style collection arrives, loads and leaves within the hour, with no permit and no loading on your part. For one-off clearances it is usually the simpler option.
